Postdoctoral fellows, PhD students
The Living Matter Theory group at the Center for Soft and Living Matter of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) is seeking motivated individuals in the areas of physical biology, systems biology, theoretical biology, computational biology, non-equilibrium soft matter and related subjects. We are looking for theoreticians in these fields or those who wish to learn a new subject and conduct creative and independent research.
We aim to recruit the best scientists and give them intellectual freedom. Our IBS Center offers world-class experimental and computational facilities, and internationally competitive benefits. We are affiliated with UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology). Founded in 2007, this national research institute presently has about 300 faculty and is growing rapidly. It has a thriving international student body, with graduate and undergraduate classes taught in English .
We are hiring at several levels: Graduate students, postdoctoral scholars (and IBS fellows). The fellowships offer an exceptional opportunity to join a unique community of scientists focused on the study of frontier problems in living soft matter. If you share our passion for fundamental research, send us an application consisting of (i) a CV with publication list, and (ii) a brief statement of research experience and interests. We may ask later for letters of recommendation. Please write to Dr. Tsvi Tlusty at lifeIBS@gmail.com.
